ABOUT US

Central Virginia Elite Track and Field is a dream come true for Head Coach Rodney Smith, who as a high school athlete wanted to run on the same team as his cross town rivals at Heritage.

The Central Virginia Elite coaching team understands the need to develop youth early to create a love for track and field. The area has talented middle school and high school students but in order to feed the pipeline, children need to start training by the age of 5. Four years ago the coaches in the area discussed organizing, but it wasn't until Coach Roundtree of Va.Beach shared the AAU Track Club format that team took the plunge. The best coaches in the area help our youth have fun, work hard and become good track and field athletes.

The name saids it all: Central Virginia Elite takes the best kids in the area and makes them competitive athletes.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to motivate, empower, and encourage young men and women through athletics to be the best that they can be. We will challenge the athlete to be positive role models and good decision makers. Our ultimate goal is to shape the athlete into successful and responsible young adults for their communities.
